Hi I'm Shyamli!
I'm a physics graduate who turned into a robotics researcher! Currently, I am a PhD student in Human Robot Interaction on a full ride scholarship in the UK! My research lies in the space of multimodality and explainability in social robots and human robot interaction.
My research revolves around Robotics and AI for children in education and healthcare!
I love children, their young curious minds, boundless creativity and playfulness inspire me. I believe there is a child within each one of us, waiting to be embraced. Children are the future and I am committed to understanding children's perceptions on technology and creating child centric technologies that enhance their interactions with robotics and AI to help them grow to their full potential and become responsible global citizens!
I have always believe in helping others and making a difference in this world to the best of my abilities, whether it's through volunteering, outreach or my research!
Having grown as a person with multitude of interests, I navigated through many rollercoaster rides before landing my dream career.
I truly know what it means to be in a state of confusion and today I am a Career Mentor who helps others find clarity in what their heart resonates with and help them achieve their goals!

4 years later, I went back as a chief guest and renowned alumni at my undergraduate college! Felt so blessed to be interviewed at the Heartian Talk Show, where I speak about my college memories, my journey from physics to robotics and even more!
My world changed when I fell in love with robotics at a student exchange program in the USA! In this video, I talk about taking education decisions, making the most out of opportunities in the early stages of your career and building your profile on the go!
